Why I Wrote Ode
Ode to Failure arrives as I turn 50 and reflect on moments when personal and professional failures could have quieted my dreams.
After wrestling with another project for years, I used a poem that I wrote in a moment of great challenge as the backdrop of this book. It helped me to look inward to find my greatest gifts. In the process of this learning journey, I realized that failure wasn’t a signal to turn around; rather it was an invitation to one great growth journey.
This gave me insights into writing this book. I hope it will help others cross their own bridges with greater awareness, courage, and purpose.
